At Good Citizens®, we take our intellectual property seriously.

Our IP is protected in five ways - because when you’ve spent years perfecting a system, you don’t leave anything to chance.

1. Legally protected
Our eyewear designs, modular clip system and brand are covered by registered trademarks and design rights in multiple regions. 

Key protections include:

• Registered trademarks for Good Citizens
• Design registrations for our modular eyewear system
• Copyright-protected brand assets and product imagery

Our legal team actively monitors for unauthorised use or imitation across global markets.

2. Publicly documented
Our story, including the 2503 failed attempts, has been featured by Forbes USA, the Sydney Morning Herald, the United Nations and two TEDx talks (TEDx Melbourne & TEDx Global Idea Search) It’s out there. People know.

3. Globally awarded. Globally recognised.
We’ve won major international design honours, including Best in Class at the International Good Design Awards, and been invited to present our design thinking to leadership teams at companies like Google and Tesla. 

4. Used in education
Our modular design system is part of the official school curriculum and taught at leading universities including RMIT, UNSW and UTS. We're also chief advisors to Australia’s Federal and State Education Authorities, helping to shape new higher education courses in sustainability and circular design.

5. Partnered with government
We've partnered with the Australian Federal Government and the Office of the Prime Minister in nationwide advertising campaigns championing homegrown innovation.
