Australian pioneers in recycled eyewear, Good Citizens makes recycled, repairable and recyclable eyewear frames out of discarded single-use plastic bottles on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. It would take 752 days and thousands of failed attempts to finally launch Good Citizens Eyewear in April 2020.

From Selfridges London giving the brand an entire window next to Prada for three months to talking at the United Nations and winning major design and sustainability awards, the brand has captured imaginations around the world.

From an entire window in Selfridges London, to speaking at the UN, our story of hope has reached every corner of the world. Australian pioneers in recycled eyewear, Good Citizens makes recycled, repairable and recyclable eyewear frames out of discarded single-use plastic bottles. The home fixable design has earned the brand numerous internationally recognised awards, including two Good Design Awards.

 The super lightweight modular frames are made from only 100% recycled bottles (one bottle makes one frame) and are manufactured on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. The frames are fitted with high quality lenses made by Carl Zeiss Vision with 100% UV protection.

 The glasses are carbon negative and each sale funds the removal of plastic trash from the ocean as a gift to the planet. All packaging is made from recycled materials - from the cardboard box to the glasses case, also made from recycled bottles.
